Dawson McFarlane is a BCIT – Radio Arts & Entertainment Student, born in Williams Lake, BC and from Princeton, BC. He has been in the Broadcasting field ever since he was 12 and looks to make it a long term career.

Dawson loves hockey and baseball as he grew up in an intense hockey and baseball family. For hockey, he loves the fast and physical part of hockey and he played hockey throughout minor and mens league games. For baseball, he used to play 18u college prep baseball in Penticton for the Tigers and he was planning to go to post secondary and play college baseball. However, tides shifted and he decided to take the hockey route in officiating and the broadcast route where he found himself at BCIT. Baseball used to be his favourite sport when he was younger but “Hockey takes the cake now” -Dawson McFarlane
